The Pianist (2002) Showing on: Lovefilm Genre: Drama, History, War Watched this one in school and thought I’d give it a second watch. If you haven’t already seen or heard of this it’s definitely one worth watching. I may be a bit of a sucker for holocaust films, but I’d find it hard to believe that no one else finds it as interesting as I do. It’s based on a true story (which after doing some research is fairly accurate) about a polish Jewish pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman (Adrien Brody) during WW2. It follows him throughout his struggles and on top of that is a brilliantly made film. In my eyes it’s a must watch if you have some time on your hands and lovefilm at your disposal..
